Esteu aquí: Inici Walking routes Path from Ansovell to Boscalt (camí de Boscalt) GR-150
The trail starts at Canaleta Street in Ansovell, to the right of the start of the forest track that leads to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Boscalt. Climb past the ancient Canaleta fountain, across Ansovell’s fields with a water tank in a place called Prat de Jau up to the Boscalt pass. Throughout this section you can enjoy magnificent views of Cava, across the valley, dominated by the hills of Pubill or Bades , on top of which there are remains of a medieval fortress. From the Boscalt pass, on the trail, you reach the sanctuary, already mentioned in the thirteenth century and probably a place of worship prior to the Christianization, north of which is the Boscalt boxwood (Buxus sempervirens), and a single bush, one of the oldest trees in the Pyrenees and perhaps more than 500 years, considered by Baridà people as a symbol of fortune. In Boscalt was a hostel, a stop along the Cardoner path or Salt path, old traveled by traders, armies and the salt that came from Cardona to Cerdanya. The path from Ansovell to Boscalt was tour in procession every first Saturday in May, praying the rosary by the inhabitants of Ansovell and Cava, in fulfillment of a vote of the people in thanksgiving for the healing of the plague.
